Built-in Themes

Choose a theme in Deckset’s theme picker, then select one of its color swatches. The same Markdown can be presented with different typography and colors without rewriting the slides.

Broadside pairs bold, uppercase Anybody headings with Source Sans 3 body text. It includes six color variants, starting with a vivid purple scheme.

Ledger pairs Newsreader headings with DM Sans body text. Its four variants are Cobalt, Coral, Evergreen, and Carbon, in that order.

To keep the theme choice with the presentation when sharing or using version control, add a global command at the top of the Markdown file:

theme: Broadside, 1

For Ledger’s Carbon variant, use:

theme: Ledger, 4

The number is the color swatch’s position in Deckset, starting at 1. Use one theme command per presentation. See Custom Theming for slide-specific styling overrides.
